Youth Energy Forum Explores Careers and Opportunities for Young Namibians in the Sector

The Namibia Youth Energy Forum (NYEF) held a Career and Opportunities Dialogue event on April 13, at the NAMCOR Auditorium, aimed at providing young Namibians with insights and opportunities in the energy sector.

The event bought together over 100 participants, including high school and university students, as well as early-career professionals. With a focus on fostering dialogue and networking, the event featured engaging discussions and presentations from industry experts and leaders.

NAMCOR Manager for Communications & Public Relations, Paulo Coelho, emphasised the importance of youth participation and innovation in shaping the future of the energy sector in Namibia.

Participants also had the opportunity to network with industry professionals, speakers, and fellow participants, fostering valuable connections and collaborations for future endeavors in the energy sector.

Sarti Shikongo, Interim Executive Director of NYEF, said:  “The success of our Career and Opportunities Dialogue event underscores the importance of providing platforms for knowledge sharing, networking, and inspiration for the youth in Namibia. We are grateful to our esteemed speakers, sponsors, and attendees for their contributions and active participation.”

Shikongo said the NYEF remains committed to its mission of empowering youth and driving positive change in the energy sector, and looks forward to hosting more impactful events and initiatives in the future.
